Gary R. Hammond, Jr.
Gary Hammond is a principal in Landbridge Development, LLC, and sole shareholder in G. Randall Hammond & Co., a real estate appraisal company founded in 1994. Gary began his career in real estate in 1990 as an independent fee appraiser in Atlanta, Georgia, where he performed appraisals on a variety of property types including apartment, industrial, office, retail, and special purpose. Prior to forming G. Randall Hammond & Co. (“GRHCo”), he was a Vice President/Team Leader with RECOLL Management Corporation (subsidiary of Fleet Financial Group, Inc.) in their Appraisal Review Department, where he was responsible for ordering and reviewing appraisals and providing consulting opinions on a portfolio of retail and healthcare properties.
Gary has specialized in the Section 42 Low Income Housing Tax Credit since 1994 when he began consulting on projects nationwide for a major syndicator of tax credits. His tax-credit consulting continued into the mid 2000’s while structuring partnerships and applying for his own credit awards. His first tax-credit award was in 2001. Today, Landbridge Development continues to apply annually for tax credit allocations in the southeastern United States.
Gary graduated from the University of West Florida in 1988 with dual Bachelor degrees in Business Management and Psychology and from Georgia State University in 1996 with a Master of Science degree in Real Estate. He earned the prestigious MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 1993 and the CCIM designation from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute in 1999. In addition, Gary is a certified-general appraiser (1991) and licensed managing broker (1996).
D’Anne Hilsmier
D’Anne Hilsmier began working with Gary Hammond in 2000. Her knowledge in the multi-family housing industry was well-timed as the company was just beginning steps to become apartment developers in the City of Atlanta. Her role began as the Office Manager but quickly changed to real estate develop analysis, asset management, and LIHTC Application Management.
D’Anne manages funding applications. In the past she has applied through Florida Housing Finance Corporation, Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Louisiana Housing Corporation, North Carolina Housing Finance Agency, Tennessee Housing Development Authority, and Virginia Housing Development Agency. Additionally, she has applied for financing through HOME, CBDG, USDA 538, and FHLB (AHP Grants).
D’Anne graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Computer Science. She has her Georgia Real Estate Salesperson’s License and the HCCP Designation from the National Association of Home Builders.
Wendy A. Whittington
Wendy A. Whittington joined Landbridge Development in 2008 as a Project Administrator and her current role is Manager of Closings and Contract Administration. Wendy brings over 31 years of real estate experience including property management, document negotiation, and closings and loan administration. Her current responsibilities include facilitation of the financing and closing of new projects, review and preparation of Purchase and Sale Agreements, document negotiations, application compilation, construction draws, final allocation applications, 10% Test applications, and permanent conversions.
Before joining Landbridge, Wendy served as an Assistant Vice President of Contract Administration with Ambling Companies, Inc., and was instrumental in the financing and closing of projects in excess of $1 Billion of a variety of loan types including conventional, LIHTC, Tax-Exempt Bonds, HUD 221(d)(4) and TPA’s, HOPE VI, FHLP/AHP Grants, Fannie Mae, and HOME loans throughout the Southeast as well as student housing transactions nationwide. She also served as a direct liaison with all legal counsel and the financing team to facilitate closings as well as any post-closing matters such as litigation management and discovery production.
Wendy has completed numerous courses in continuing education and professional development including Ken Blanchard Training and Leadership Development in 2007.
Chrissa T. Hammond
Chrissa Hammond joined G. Randall Hammond & Co. (“GRHCo”) in January 2002 as Office Manager and presently serves as Office Manager for G. Randall Hammond & Co. and Landbridge Development, LLC.
She has been working in the real estate field since 1988 where her experience was primarily concentrated in loss mitigation/workout of commercial and residential loans. Prior to joining GRHCo, Chrissa was a manager at an Atlanta-based real estate law firm where she ran the Loss Mitigation team, which focused on working out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac residential loans in bankruptcy.
Chrissa graduated from Syracuse University in 1988 with a Bachelors’ degree in Finance and Marketing. After graduating from college, she moved to Boston and started her career in the Mortgage Industry. In 1991, she joined RECOLL Management (subsidiary of Fleet Bank) as an Assistant Vice President in the Special Assets Loan Recovery Division. Her responsibilities included Commercial and Residential loan workouts. RECOLL transferred Chrissa to Atlanta in 1995 to work in their Special Asset Division as a team leader at Fleet Finance (subsidiary of Fleet Bank). Chrissa worked at Fleet Finance until it was sold in 1997.
